The SingYourJoy Young Adult Chorus Society acting also as the SingYourJoy Family of Choirs is a Provincially Incorporated body under the Societies Act of BC. Each year we are required to hold an annual meeting of the society where we celebrate the past year, appoint our new board of directors, and approve our operating budget for the current season.
This is a simple meeting where all society members will receive the annual report and have an opportunity to participate in the democratic process. In order for you to participate, you must be a society member in good standing. This needs to be renewed annually. We invite any interested singers, alumni and SingYourJoy supporters to become society members and join us for the annual meeting.
It is important to note that to qualify for provincial arts funding SingYourJoy needs to have community membership. While a society can exist with just a board of directors, one with broad based community involvement is required to apply for provincial funding.
